Published continuously since 1884, the Reports of Patent, Design and Trade Mark Cases (RPCs) remain the leading full-text law reports in intellectual property. They are published on behalf of the Intellectual Property Office.
Containing the definitive text of carefully selected key decisions and judgements, along with expert headnotes written by Mary Vitoria QC, the RPCs are an essential part of the toolkit of solicitors, barristers, judiciary, patent attorneys and trade mark attorneys.
Online availability
This website contains new case reports from the 2008 volume of RPCs. Articles are published online ahead of print publication in the "Advance Access" area of the site.
The RPCs archive is now available back to the 1977 volume. While the full text of case reports (both new cases and archive) is only accessible to readers with an online subscription, non-subscribers can search the archive and click through to key-word summaries of each case.
